		<description><![CDATA[I&#039;d hate to have had to wittle away the likes of Lundqvist, Price, and Fluery to come up with three finalists for this one.  In the end you can&#039;t argue against Luongo on the winningest team with the Jennings already secured.  They had to have someone from the West AND someone from Canada.  You also can&#039;t argue against Pekka who was phenominal in a market that doesn&#039;t scream &quot;hockey hotbed.&quot;  I&#039;d love to see his numbers on a perennial contender.

In the end it&#039;s an honor to be a finalist, but the award goes to Tim Thomas.  2.00 and .938 are aided by the defensive force that is Zdeno Chara, but there is such a gap between him and anyone else in contention for this award that no one should have any argument that he doesn&#039;t deserve this.]]></description>
