A growing groundswell of grumbling about the Berlin fixture...Any hopes that UK fans might get to the game in Berlin are being dashed as they are getting priced out of the market. This is because the 02 World Arena in Berlin offer an e-ticket facility (i.e. print your own ticket at home) for 2.50 Euros to a number of European countries but if you are in the UK they make you pay a 32 Euro (48 dollars) charge for delivery of the actual tickets i.e UK customers are offered no cheaper print-at-home option. There is no explanation offered for this policy, but it makes the lowest price ticket of 67 Euros come in at a whopping 99 Euros when you include this exorbitant charge. This appears to be contrary to the NHL's objective of spreading the game around Europe, or it implies they've picked the wrong venue to do this on their behalf....or has the UK done something to upset the NHL?
