Poll: Who do you think wins the Stanley Cup?

Apr 11, 2011, 1:31 AM EDT

Brooks Laich, Keith Ballard AP

16 teams will enter the playoffs and only one will come out on top of them all. You’ve got Vancouver and Washington as the top seeds in each conference while Chicago and the New York Rangers round out the bottom of the barrel.

With everyone else in between and last year’s upset-filled playoffs standing out in your minds, we have but one simple question for all of you: Who ya got?

The match-ups are all compelling in both the Eastern Conference and in the Western Conference. There will be strategy discussed and everyone will believe they’ve got the right answers to lead the way to a Stanley Cup. What do you think is going to happen when it’s all said and done in June though? Let us know by voting in our poll.

I am so geeked for the playoffs, it should be unpredictable. I picked the Flyers at start of year so I will stick with them but the Canuckleheads are going to be a tough out. In the end though its whoever can ride the hot goaltender.

If I had to lay money, I’d only consider Boston, Vancouver and Washington.

Washington has repeated proven that they just don’t have the heart. The one-and-done Caps are regular season sensations who sputter and tire out after mid-April. Must be a lot of golfers on that team.

Vancouver is a strong and gritty club, probably best chance to beat a soon to be healthy Red Wing team for the West… but they WON’T.

Red Wings V Bruins would be a cool Cup Finals.

    Let’s Go Red Wings!

      REALLLLLLY!!!! FINALLLLY!!!

Lots of Red Wing haters coming out of the woodwork, eh? Cool, glad you could make it.

      Let’s GO RED WINGS!!!

as a Bruins fan I would love it if they made the finals. But please, anyone but Detroit. Boston has looked awful versus the Red Wings this year

As a 25-year Capitals fan, I’d agree with you. But, they’ve been winning one goal games for the last few months under pressure situations. The addition of Arnott up front for redirects and screens shouldn’t be underestimated. Plus, the young D pair of Carlson and Alzner is ready for prime time – they weren’t a year ago.

@gocaps8 – for your sake, I truly hope they finally make it…against the Red Wings of course

But after that…Red in the water, Red on the ice. ; )

@polegojim – Ha, ha…I’m still sore from the ’98 sweep the Wings put on the Caps! For that reason, I wouldn’t seeing a rematch.

I’m a Wings fan, but after the Flyer’s amazing post season run last year, I picked them. With or without Pronger
