He called a weak (holding maybe?) penalty against Crosby 10 seconds into game 7 against Montreal. Didn’t make the call against Steckel for the head hit in the Winter Classic and didn’t call some Lightning player for a check from behind on Max Talbot, who got sent head first into the boards and laid on the ice for at least five minutes after. He was also involved in a controversial call (or no call) during the SCF, but I cannot remember what it was. Point is, he always seems to be at the center of attention (maybe where he wants to be?) When it comes to bad calls.

We’re surrounded by technology! Shuttle flights are routine! We’ve been to the moon and back! You mean to tell me they can’t figure this out. C’mon…put a sensor in the pucks and run a wire under the ice surface at the goal line. When the puck crosses the embedded sensing wire, it trips the red light and guess what…it’s a goal! Gimme a break, this is a no brainer!

There was no way this was a goal. Not only did it appear NOT to cross the line, but he distinctly kicked it. The referee made a mistake, that’s fine, but come on.
