All of you make excellent points. The league and it’s officials need to be more consistent though. The Sharks are without Wallin because he was Boarded by Langenbruner with no call. Ott went back to bench and played the rest of the game Wallin did not, he is still out due to injury. Last time the Stars were in San Jose, Heatley was checked to the ice away from the play of the puck with no call 2 times. Another time during a face-off change before a face-off, when play was already stopped. WTH. Be consistent, that’s what I ask. Heatley’s reputation does precede him, as does Ott’s and Avery’s. Both the aforementioned have had thier share of questionable hits. Heatley’s elbow barely landed on Ott and when you look at the video from different angles you can clearly see that Heatley was nearly past and not even looking in Ott’s direction. I think Ott embellished a little. Either way, consistently calling games is the way to stop the headshots and bad hits.

heatley has a bad dirty history when it comes to decision making…people seem to have forgotten that he KILLED a teammate not too long ago. dirtbag

Its pretty well known that Dany Heatley is a jerk and has been for some time. Its too bad though because he is a tremendously talented player.

News flash Mr. Heatley! It matters not what YOU think…the only thing that matters is what the refs think. You were whistled for what you did and now you’re gonna sit and you’re going to hurt your team. Not too much high quality thought process going on above the neck there Danny boy…better rethink the cheap shots next time! Another news flash for you…the whole world is watching for head shots now…GET A GRIP – PLAY HOCKEY.
