As much as it hurts me to agree with Bruce, i have to. He is candid in the way he speaks to the press and fans alike. Being a Pens fan, i would have been surprised the NHL did not suspend Cooke for his actions. That being said, he didn't put someone out of there hockey career either. Charo made a good hit, it was unfortunate where the hit took place, and also unfortunate that hit cause the player to be sidelined for the season, let alone it could be his whole career. All those that play hockey know what could and does happen to you if you play the game. "Its all part of the game". The canadien fans need to settle down a bit and focus on the upcoming playoffs. You may be seeing Boston 4 more times at your arena, are you going to protest each time they come to town? Let just watch the game for what they are worth and focus on the playoffs.

as much bad press the flyers fans get, and dont get me wrong every fan base has knucleheads, ive seen more instances with habs fans starting trouble and getting removed from other teams rinks... but the fact they wanna show up at a caps game and protest is beyind me...bruce makes a very valid point be united and dont show up if you dont like it. its freakn' hockey, the hit wasnt intended to paralize the guy its just unfortunate where they ended up colliding. i am actually surprised people dont get hurt more often when getting hit near benches.

I already like Bruce after watching him on 24/7, but know I idolize him. Not so much that he is correct in his views, but for saying what most of us already agree with. If you dont like it, then stay away. The Canadians fans are the worst in hockey. Where else do they riot when their team looses a playoff series. The last time the Flyers were in town, I found out the fans were throwing things at them after Mike Richards tried to shut up their big mouth defenseman P.K. Subban. The next Canadian games at the Wells Fargo Center, they had to have extra security cause they thought the Flyers fans would attack the Habs players. Did not happen of course, but your right about one thing - if it happened in reverse as you stated, would not have been given a second thought.
