What the hell does that have to do with this article? There are other stories about the fight yesterday where such comments would be more appropriate, such as the one about how the league isn't going to do anything aside from possibly fining Dubinsky. Besides, theres not a chance in hell Avery would be suspended for what he did. Its no different then the couple times Sindy Crosby grabbed someone unsuspected and started throwing punches... in fact it happens quite a lot in the NHL. If a huge brawl didn't erupt afterwards, or it wasn't Avery, we wouldn't even be talking about it right now.

If anyone would have been suspended, it would have been the Oiler players who tried to leave the ice to go after Avery (one of them actually left the bench to do so... which is in of itself suspendable), or the ones who grabbed Dubinsky on the bench. So clearly, you just don't like Avery and are pulling a Colin and letting your personal feelings get in the way.

As for the article, it really doesn't come as any suprise. Not only are suspensions and punishment handled very very uneven in the NHL... on ice officiating is probably the worst thing the NHL has going for it. There are clearly some teams/players who get the absolute benifit of the doubt every game... and others who are always guilty no matter what. Thats not the way a professional sport should be handled, and I have a feeling if we could see more Campbell e-mails a whole lot of other "shockers" would come out.

'Twill be interesting to see what the Wheel of Justice spins regarding the Rangers-Edmonton brawl... were it up to me, Avery would be the only guy suspended.
