Sorry to go off topic, but just a little.
My comment falls into the 'pot calling the kettle black' category.
As I watched the last game of the night on Center Ice last night, the Kings/Coyotes at Jobing, one of the commentators spoke about forward Andrew Ebbett's minor league career, and that it took him through Binghamton, NY. I think it was the guy "behind the glass," Todd Walsh (?), in a witty resposte, called Binghamton, NY a 'real armpit.' Really? The home team reporting team from this dismal hockey market has the nerve to call another city an armpit? I think the average attendance for the AHL's Binghamton Senators probably comes close to the NHL's Phoenix Coyotes.
I'm a New York downstater, but, like, you're picking on my kid brother so I gotta say: It gets awfully windy in these glass houses, hot shot.

When Winnipeg was about to lose their team, Winnipeggers did what they could to save the team, including holding socials and other means of trying to raise support for the team. Ultimately the fans efforts help keep the team in Winnipeg for another year. The fans were there in Winnipeg, and they showed their support when their team was on the line. Arizona says they want the team, but it sure doesn't look like it. I'm pretty sure our Manitoba Moose, and AHL team, has an average attendance higher than this.

This is why the NHL's efforts to save face for ever moving a team here in the first place are so wasted ... I guarantee bigger crowds in Winnipeg, Quebec, Hartford or Portland when four of the "Sun Belt" Teams move to those locations and Phoenix will be the first to go.
