Here we go again! It’s that time for all the haters to come out from their hibernation–”Criesby sucks, Ovi’s god, The Wings will win it, blahblahblah (incidently, THEPRO96–just what HAS Ovi won? An Olympic gold medal? No…. A Stanley Cup? No…… Nothing? YES!–sorry, just the facts, ma’am). I will watch just about any hockey game and appreciate the skill of all the players and the beauty of the game. I guess I’m the exception rather than the rule. I would hope not.

As a Flyers fan, I can’t see anyway that Philly could bounce Pitt from the postseason. Philly is indeed deep up front, but I think they’re pretty average on the blue line (beyond Pronger) and they are horrendous in net. They will again be lucky to squeak in the playoffs.
Agree w/ Mario– WAS just won’t get there until they trim a forward (Semin?) and lock in a stud goalie.
If Pitt could’ve hung onto Gonchar, I think they would’ve put together one of the all-time great regular season records (like, less 25 total L’s and OT-L’s). They still might…

For some reason I remembered that Toews-Crosby young captain thing incorrectly. Rather than explaining the mistake in the post itself, I figured it would be better to take that part out and just mention the misstep here.

the devils have cap issues to to say they are “DEEP” is going out on a limb.. The “Ovechkin’s” are built for the regular season & NOT THE PLAYOFFS…So the real battle will be with Philly sans a real goalteneder… oh & GENO MALKIN has nothing to prove… last season was the first he missed any significant time/games..He carried this team when Sid was injuried…
