"It would be great to see a new team in Canada, especially if doesn't cost another fan base its team. Could Quebec be the first new team above the border? We'll have to see, but the NHL apparently won't do their dirty work."
Agree with first part disagree with rest ... we do not need expansion! We do need more stable franchises with fan bases that stay with the team through thick and thin and not just when the team is trendy.
Individually the various sun belt teams all have different challenges to make them viable in their markets. I hope most survive but law of averages states that some won't. Those franchises that cannot meet those challenges should move to fan bases that will support them.
If I am a betting man that means Phx, Atl, and one of the two florida teams move to Winnipeg, Quebec, Hartford (in that order) Though Columbus, Carolina, Nashvill and the second Florida team are nominees for moving as well.
