Ovechkin and him are the two best goal scorers in the league. Kovalchuk can go through the whole team by himself. Sometimes he makes the NHL look like the minors.

One way or another, Langenbrunner’s 2.8M come off next year, he won’t return, Parise will be the new captain. Then, Jason Arnott’s 4.5M comes off the books as well, he won’t be back past the 2010-11 season. By next Summer, Lamoriello might be willing to buy out either Colin White or Brian Rolston if they fail to have a solid season this year. Zajac isn’t going anywhere, and neither is Parise for a long time.
