I really don’r think Redden is going to get sent to Hartford, so we just have to deal with him for four more seasons. Redden getting sent to Hartford probably = Sather getting fired and we all know that he has way to much ego for that to happen. He’s going to be in our lineup plain and simple. He’s still better than a player like Gilroy and until Mcilrath and Mcdonagh can prove themselves he’s staying. I love Del Zotto more than anyone, but he was a -20 last season. Redden was a +8. Girardi is a solid D and don’t get me started on Staal. He’s not a shut down D and he doesn’t put up many points. Sounds like a younger version of Redden and now with the money he’s asking for he’s almost in the same boat as him. Don’t let the last name fool you he just isn’t that good sorry. I wish he was, but he’s not. We really shouldn’t hope for anything good to come out of this organization for at least two more seasons when both Rosival and Drury are UFA’s.

And you’re right, too many bottom six forwards

This signing would be comparable to signing Voros AND Rissmiller a few years ago. They have more than enough bottom six forwards. Rather have a young kid makes the team like Zuccarello-Aasen who has much more potential.
