But one quick correction:
Dave Tomlinson is currently the Canucks Analyst for Team 1040, and has been behind the radio mic (and in front of the TV cameras) for post game wrap-ups, and his morning program, for years now. He’s a seasoned radio/television guy with 15 years pro hockey experience and a great personality – he is not going in trying to be the new Tommy Larscheid. He’s going in trying to do the best he can to bring a radio colour commentary to life for the listeners. (saw an interview this morning on Global TV where he said as much).
Anyway, he has many fans, and I’m sure that as bittersweet a moment as it is with a legendary Tommy Larscheid’s departure, Dave Tomlinson will be welcomed with quite some fanfare.
