Only two things I need to point to prove my point. He has only won 40 games once in his career and his Goals Against has been under 2.30 only once since 2003. Hey next year will be 2011; Turco has been riding high on two good seasons. These seasons were so long ago, people still had respect for George W Bush.

Niemi may not be back after the hawks matched the offer sheet. Turco will indeed benefit playing behind a strong defense. He will probably serve as the goalie until their prospect (crawford?) is ready.

I realize that Michal Neuvirth (22) took over in net with Jose Theodore while Senyon Varlamov (22) was injured for a chunk of the season; it just makes me really nervous for a team that has so much going for them but can’t find that last peice.
Nice thing about Turco playing in the East Conf is his record of winning only one game at the Joe Louis Arena. He may only play the Red Wings once a season and if he is lucky it will be a home game for him.
