But, at least we got Joe at a significant savings from his previous deal. He’s surprisingly physical for such a good skater, he can jump into the rush (so at least it ain’t just Joni Pitkanen helping out in that regard from the D), and he has a heavy shot and good hands in close, too. Corvo was well-liked in the RTP and if he pairs with Babchuk that’ll be a crazy good offensive second pair. That would put Jamie McBain in the third pairing. If and when Corvo gets injured, the ‘Canes have depth in the minors to replace him, anyway. Hmmm.
