You are all spot on. He is a class act. His abilities to keep the team lose yet pumped are underrated skills. You feel as though you’re losing a good friend. With Blackhawks TV, we really got to see the human side of Adam (and others) and that has only added to the sadness. Dallas, you really got a terrific player here. Don’t underestimate his abilities both on and off the ice. It certainly seems that Adam has a career in sportscasting after his hockey career ends. But for the fans sake, should TV come a calling, please come back to Chi-town!

Great pick up for the Stars. Quenville is the only guy in Chicago who won’t miss Adam. Those two seemed to have trouble seeing eye to eye. He was a leader in the locker room and he’s so bright, he was used to scout opponents. He was a great embassador for the Hawks and Dallas will quickly learn about what an intelligent, creative and funny guy he is.
On the ice, he can put up average numbers if paired on a scoring line. Savard and Quinny never used him in that role. He is also a spectacular penalty killer (again, Quinny under used him in this role)and his shot blocking skills offer a real clinic.

Adam Burish is a class act. Anyone that followed his career at the University of Wisconsin — where he captained them to the 2006 national championship — knows that everything he does on the ice (and says off of it) serves a purpose: giving his team the best chance to win. He’s a classic, throwback hockey player.

Great pick-up for the Dallas Stars — Burish is a class act. He was my favorite player to watch in Chicago – high energy, loved by his teammates because of his attitude. He is an agitator on the ice too, and it fires up everyone on the ice and on the bench. I always enjoyed hearing him on the radio during interviews, which he was always willing to do. Reading his blogs about “how hockey fights get started” was hilarious. The #37 Burish jersey is the only Hawks jersey I own, and I’ll continue to wear it. And I’ve got a great reason to take a trip to Dallas to watch a stars game- maybe St. Patties Day when the Stars play the Hawks (I’ll have to chear for the Hawks though).
