Haha I guess the stanley cup finals are the gutter. You obviously are clueless about hockey. I think the signing is rediculously stupid, but the flyers are one of the best teams in the NHL, and will be for a long time. Read up and actuallt watch hockey before you make retarded comments about anything. I cant stand people who are clueless, but fa comes around and everybody is a fan/analyst.

Back to the gutter, they were in the gutter for one season you moron. I’m from Philly and yes i dont like this signing at all, but rgardless we’re still gonna go back to the finals if not just because we have the best defensive corps in the NHL, but also because the flyers have good veteran leadership, and great young stars who started to emerge in the playoffs.

What the hell was Holmgren thinking? I watched Shelley in his years with the Columbus Blue Jackets and he was pathetic. He wasn’t smart enough to know when to play hockey and when to be an enforcer. The best thing he ever did was play punching bag for Todd Fedoruk in a game in Columbus. I loved watching Shelley get his ass kicked. It won’t be long before he is a healthy scratch day after day because Laviolette doesn’t like his stupidity.

I love it! I hate the Flyers and was delighted to see their stupid “tradition” of asinine, undisciplined play do them in in the Finals (thanks, Prong!). Apparently, Laviolette has no influence on who they sign, because his Carolina teams were the most disciplined in the NHL and Jody Shelley is just a goon, period. I hope this means Philly is going right back into the gutter from whence it came. Until the caveman idiocy leaves that front office, the Flyers can rot.
