I didn't think he fit our style, but Ladd was clearly a fan favorite and management favorite in Carolina. While this deal only brings him closer to Raleigh, maybe it foreshadows a return to the fold? As noted previously, the Canes love to re-acquire old hands. So, does Atlanta have the cash to keep AL, or does he play, put up terrible numbers (because the Thrashers are terrible), and have his value depressed to the point even the poor-mouth Hurricanes can afford to trade for him and sign him to a new, less-expensive deal next year? I'm just saying - as stupid as it probably sounds - that being in the SE division is going to make Laddy a hot name again in Raleigh. Laddy Come Home!
