2010 NHL Entry Draft, Round 1: Ducks select RW Emerson Etem at #29

The Anaheim Ducks have taken advantage of two players falling significantly and unexpectedly this evening, as first they selected Cam Fowler at #12 and then snagged WHL standout Emerson Etem at #29.

Many had Etem going at least in the top 15, and I was surprised to see the Kings pass up on him earlier in the draft when they traded up. Etem is a very talented, very poised player who has the potential to be the face of a franchise.
