Boychuk got better as the season went on and was at his best in the playoffs. 1.75/2m without a no-trade is also a bit of a bargain when all things are considered for the B’s, plus it gives a bit of monetary security to Johnny. He’s also only 26 – still some time to improve his game and become a better player.
