Blackhawks fans, police officer hit by ATV during Blackhawks Cup parade

Jun 12, 2010, 12:30 PM EDT

It seems like details on this situation are pretty scarce, but as was reported on Puck Daddy, the relatively safe – if not serene – Chicago Blackhawks Cup parade did have at least one scary moment. Take a look at this unsettling video of an ATV (meant to provide crowd control during the massive 2 million-plus person celebration) accidentally running into a group of people, including a police officer. (Video from Live Leak.com/CNN.)

The good news is that, at this moment, there are still no reports of any major injuries (from that incident or any other during the huge party). We’ll be sure to pass along more notes if any other details surface regarding this situation or other incidents. For now, it’s a frightening moment that thankfully looked worse than it ended up being.

This is how CPD controls a crowd??? Where were the street barricades, what happened to the horses???How could they let folks get that close to the buses??? Did those idiots on the ATVs have any training at all??? Yikes, glad they’re not running my security! Back to the drawing board boys…you suck.
