Adam Burish is a hack who should keep his mouth shut. Obviously he just won the cup and felt like he was on top of the world and didn’t really care what he said. But to say it at that time is classless and cowardly. There’s no way around that. I doubt any of his teammates who actually played against Pronger would have said something like that. And, he did shut down Chicago’s first line. The were successful in games 5 and 6 because the coach broke them up and put them on three separate lines. Pay attention. And, Burish did comment on Pronger’s skill. He said he should’ve been wearing a skirt in game 6 beacause he was “terrible out there.” They should be happy that Pronger didn’t play well in the last two games and not use that as an opportunity to trash him. They should be happy that Byfuglien (what the hell kind of name is that anyway?) finally got his head out of his ass and started to throw his weight around. He completely leveled Pronger in game 5. Don’t take credit away from your player by saying that it was because Pronger plays like a girl. The guy is in his 30′s and played more minutes than any other player. Maybe he was finally run down, but you can’t take credit away from him because of that. And call him what you want, at least he doesn’t trash talk other players, and our city’s papers don’t make posters that mock the other team or it’s players. Also, talk to the Blackhawks fans who caught the pucks that Pronger threw in the crowd. He didn’t steal them. I wonder if your classy fans gave them back.

Honestly, if you Philly fans can’t take a little trash talk then you really cannot say you love every aspect of hockey. Pronger plays dirty, we all know this. I won’t deny that he is a good player because he clearly is, but someone has to put him in his place. I haven’t heard of many people that actually do like him and Burish is just stating the obvious and I love him dearly for that. If this little statement is getting this much response then clearly it’s not Burish who should be considered bitter, but rather the Philly fans. At least Burish is a big enough man and actually say something offensive to him, unlike Pronger who could only muster to Bolland that “his breath smelled.” Regardless of what everyone thinks of his comment, he said it. And now Chicago had the Cup and Philly and Pronger will just have to deal with that.

Just got back from an entire day celebrating the Da’ CUP!!!!!!
Parade, two million strong! Wow.
Spoke with many many people who are behind Burish. Pronger should take his hack style and start up a new league in South America. He is no longer relevant. Let everybody know, there is a new sheriff in town, and his name is Dustin Byfuglien.

how can you even begin to say that pronger shut down our top lines!? He went -6 in the most important game of the series. he sucks! he got caught playing dirty for once and he lost the entire series on stupid penalties for his team…. Pronger needs to retire

oh please, prongers an old, cheap player that would have little impact on hockey if he didn’t play so dirty… he truly lost the cup for the Flyers this year with all his dumb penalties…. the game he did get called on his cheap playing style, he went -6 overall , which was a career low for him. Dirty player, little talent, ruining hockey = Chris Pronger. I had respect for him before the last playoff series.

In my opinion Chris Pronger brings it all on himself with the stupid comments he makes, like telling the media, “I don’t speak that language.” Referring to Ben Eager’s remarks about taking the pucks. So obviously he doesn’t speak english?? He is arrogant and doesn’t treat anyone with respect so why is it such a big deal when someone says something about him. Burish may not have had a huge impact on the series, but this is a guy who got cut in the neck with a skate in the playoffs and didn’t miss any time. I think the guy deserves some credit for the heart he puts into the game even if he isn’t a super star. He does the part he is asked to pretty well if you ask me.

ah chicago, the land of the bandwagon hockey fan. you all need to enjoy it. just remember, hockey is played on ice. there is a goalie and 5 other players going against another goalie and 5 other players. it is played with giant sticks called “hockey sticks”. players wear skates and it is played on ice. the objective is to try and put the puck into a net. now that you know the basics, please go yell and scream at the parade. the real housewives of NJ will be on shortly to divert your attention.

Comprehension issues? You must have not graduated grammar school judging from the fact that you have completely missed the point.
Burish never said he was better. Nobody said that or cares that Pronger is better. He just stated the truth: Pronger is a complete dickhead that everyone hates. He is the dirtiest player in the NHL and is a cancer for our beautiful sport. We all think it is funny that someone used a big spotlight to call Pronger out on it. Don’t worry man, let’s just use that same cr@ppy excuse that Philly fans always use for Pronger- “it’s just gamesmanship”. I never heard of more cr@p in my life. I would never tell my son, don’t worry about being a cheating liar, it’s just gamesmanship. Your kids are going to grow up being the next Bernie Madoff.

Every time I saw him on the ice during the playoffs (and regular season too) he was throwing an elbow or handing out a hit to someone’s head. The guy is a classless LOSER.
