I think Carcillo did exactly what Laviolette wanted him to do. Go out there and just hit everything in sight. Yeah, he got a penalty. But Laviolette is a smart guy; he knows that if you let a guy like Carcillo off the leash there's going to be at least one penalty. That's just the price you pay for that sort of aggression. Was it worth it. I think so. As for Carcillo not playing much in the third, of course not. He's not the kind of player you need in the third period, regardless of how he plays in the start of the game. He's the last guy you want on the ice in a close game nearing the end. http://shootshoot.net
