I thought that was really tacky to cut off the Tour of California, especially when there was only 3 or 4 miles left to finish and a group of 3 had 20 seconds on the peleton. It’s a shame Outdoor Life Network no longer broadcasts bicycle races. It was especially dissapointing because the previous day Versus was unable to broadcast the last 20 miles due to bad weather and planes and helicopters were grounded. Don’t they have cameras on motocycles. Cutting off that race was a really bad choice. What difference would had it made to delay broadcasting just 5 minutes of that hockey game. The hockey game could had been shown in it’s entirety. Based on a couple of the comments already displayed, it’s a shame there is so much bias toward bicycle races. Just goes to show you how dependent people in this country are on automobiles and compare bicycle races to delivering newspapers. It’s pathetic. Keep dependening on oil, which only supports terrorist countries and currently those wealthy oil companies could care less about the environment. Wonder how long it will take for BP to fill the Gulf of Mexico with oil.

I was wondering why Lance Armstrong was the face at the header of PHT… I’m thinking, is hockey being taken over by cycling? If so, I might need to go ahead and take that cyanide pill…
Oh, Lance, guess what, no one cares about watching grown men dressed in spandex or lycra or whatever stretchy material you wear when there’s a sport where they can fight. A sport where they don’t all go in the same direction at the same time… You, on the other hand, go up a hill…. Then Down a hill… Then up a hill… Then down a hill. I’d rather (barely) watch NASCAR or some other form of racing… You may have made Versus in the beginning but hockey has been growing in leaps and bounds and now is MUCH bigger than you… The only reason it was a small force to begin with was because of the strike in the 90s… Then again 10 years later…
Oh, does anyone remember hearing about a story about Armstrong? I heard somewhere that there was this reporter or at least some person that isn’t a Lance best friend/family member, going to see Lance Armstrong, when he came out of his house with a few large bags of what looked like trash. He drove like 30-60 miles away from his house, with the trash, simply to dispose of it. The reporter found all these syringes in the bags… Was this something someone made up or did this really happen? Because if so, I think Mr Landis might actually have a point. Not to mention weren’t they saying just a few years ago how they couldn’t yet find suitable testing for HGH?

Is cycling a sport or just a way to get from here to there? Maybe they should add something to make it exciting, like have them deliver newspapers. They can get points for how close they get the paper to the front door. Personally, I was yelling at the tv for VS to switch to the hockey game. LETS GO FLYERS!

I’m so glad the NHL is still around! I remember when it was sport of consequence… I wonder if my TV channels go all the way up to Versus?
