Canadiens-Penguins Game 7 Live Chat

May 12, 2010, 8:52 PM EDT

Game 7’s are like Christmas in a dysfunctional family. On one hand, the night is full of gifts and perhaps even some honey baked ham. That being said, there are stressful moments (especially if the game goes into overtime or your crazy Uncle Peter relieves himself in the fruit punch again). These are the kind of games that people remember years from now when most of the day-to-day stuff is long forgotten.

We recognize how awesome and important this game is, so to honor such an event, we’re having a Live Chat for Game 7 and will include updates for the game (as well as Flyers-Bruins) throughout the night. Here’s a few Habs-Penguins links to whet your appetite. Otherwise, chat away!

A preview of tonight’s game (as well as Flyers-Bruins)

Crosby and Penguins need to put frustrations aside

Alex Ponikarovsky could be back in the Penguins lineup tonight

Hal Gill also should be back (but for the Habs, obviously)

How much is Jaroslav Halak worth?

I guess Pittsburgh isn’t a real hockey team. Mellon is quiet as a library until the 3rd period and the place is emptying out with 5 minutes to go. Well, Crosby got credit for the Olympics gold medal and the Stanley Cup last year, so I guess he’s to blame for the blowout in Game 7. Crosby is overrated as evidenced by his performance in the Cup this year. Ovechkin is much better and outplayed him all year as shown by the Caps sweep of the Pens. Go Caps and Habs!

the canadiens wont make the cup finals unlike the pens who have made the last 2 trips there the bruins or the flyers will take them out next round.
the caps were the team way overated thats why the number 1 seed went down in the first round

Well said. Not only is Pittsburgh not a real Hockey team, their fans are pseudo fans. I’m sure you noticed the way they headed for the parking lot with eight minutes left in game seven.
Let’s face it: The only reason they won the Cup in ’08 is because that’s what King Bettman desired.
    Well done, Habs!!
    Go Wings!

Habs are in the Eastern Conference finals, Pens are on vacation. Crosby was -3 in the series. At least the Caps won something this year – the President’s Cup. Pens got zippo!
