We don't know any of the details about this incident so we really shouldn't judge yet. It's not like this stuff does not happen around the NHL with other teams either so don't play the Canucks fan card.
The media sometimes picks and chooses what to report. Case in point was a game involving the Oilers and Flames two seasons ago where a Flames' fan pointed a laser at Oilers players. That never made the national news.
I bet there were other incidents at the game last night. I know for a fact that several Canuck fans were assaulted at the United Center last year in the playoffs yet there was no press about it. Ryan Kesler's parents in fact stated that they would not watch the Canucks play in Chicago because they were mistreated when they attended games last year.

I'm sure that these are isolated incidents, but some of the Canucks fans attending the road playoff games are starting to give their fanbase a bad name. At each of the games at Staples Center, there were multiple events with Canucks fans acting like this... whether it was towards the ushers or opposing fans. Now it starts in Chicago as well? Not exactly the pattern that people in Vancouver probably want to see....
