That’s right. COLIE’S GOT NO BALLS!!!!!!!!! He’s a chickenshit who should read the rules and dole out the punishment as stipulate anyway. Doesn’t matter that the game was out of reach for the Pens or little time left in the game (all the more reason to punish Adams as he figured neither him or the team would have anything to lose). The act/intent was still there and Adams wanted to send a message to the rest of the Canadiens for the next game. Cooke is just a dirty player and nothing else. For Sid The Kid to say that Cooke is only doing his job is to condone the cheap shit he does most of the time. It’s time somebody took him out like Bertuzzi did Moore. Lo and behold that would be poetic justice and the little cheap shot artist may never play again while the assailant would only serve a mere 20 games or so for such an infraction. Those are the rules that Bettman and Colie apply only to certain players. I hear they are handing big balls at the NHL Awards Dinner and the first two recipients may be Bettman & Colie. Oh and by the way, isn’t it funny that Burkie doesn’t like the hitting from behind and all the other crap, but he signs a bunch of goons.

Sydney? The country in Australia? Or Sidney? the gold medal, Stanley Cup champion?? And maybe Penguins, eh? (no q smart guy) haha. The NHL is not obsessed with the Penguins and it is truly getting old hearing this from dumb “fans” all the time. For suspension I can see this going either way. Adams is not a repeat offender, but with the hit late they can call for “message sending.”

There is no consistency in any of Colie’s boarding rulings. It shouldn’t matter if the perp had priors,if he’s a “class” player or if the other player gets hurt or not. It should be based on the action itself. Since no one really knows a player’s “intentions”, make a rule and stick with it. When Adams did this, the game was over for the Pens. Halak was not going to allow two goals in the last two minutes today. So should he be suspended? It was a reckless hit like Hossa and Ovechkin and only one of those wound up serving time. I think with both Adams and Staal out, it would change the tilt of this series toward the Habs. So the ruling…….no suspension. Nothing is ever fair with Colie.
