What NBC really needs to address is the color of their picture. There is a very noticeable color difference between the high center ice camera and the other cameras down low. The center ice camera makes the Bruin’s gold look like a very bright yellow. It is clearly a completely different color than the ones presented by the other cameras. For whatever reason it’s been like that all season long.

NBC really needs to get announcers that know something about hockey. These guys are continually using terms that are not used by anyone who knows anything about hockey. Hockey players do not “toss” the puck up the ice and sure don’t “twirl”. It’s just painful for those of us that have played and watch hockey our entire lives to be subjected to these idiots.

When is NBC going to bring in the “A team” for it national hockey broadcasts? The announcers in today’s Boston v Philadelphia game were brutal in almost all aspects of their work today. Complaining about missed calls (that were not penalties). Miscalling the play by play (glad it wasn’t a radio broadcast, I wouldn’t have known what was really happening if I didn’t see it). Giving any credence to Chris Pronger & Peter Laviolette’s (sp?)whining in Period 1 was a joke! Mike Milbury should be grateful that he has a job with NBC because after his playing career everything has gone downhill (he was a terrible GM with the Islanders, and his TV work is just as bad). Referencing the work of officials in other NHL playoff games when their own work is so sub par? Any chance of getting HNIC to contract out for the NBC games? Start by hiring Barry Melrose away from ESPN if you are serious about your NHL hockey coverage!

enzo and pierre need to get real. a penalty on Begin for knocking Boucher’s stick? come on its Boucher interferring by reaching out with the stick. I am so tired of watching goalies get a free pass to wander out of the crease and not be touched. Make the crease a little bigger. Touch the goalie in the crease-penalty. Touch him with the puck outside the crease-fair game like everybody else. C’mon Mike. Straighten them out. Take the skirts and red jerseys off the goalies.

Wow, more San Jose Sharks bashing by the brilliant Pierre and former GM trash Mildewberry. So Detroit lost because of a blown call?? The Red Wings had plenty of power plays Thursday night, but failed to score on any of them. THAT’S WHY THEY LOST — the SHARKS SPECIAL TEAMS WERE BETTER. And the embellishment complaint Babcock made referred to a different play during the game involving Gooch. And the refs blew calls against the Wings during that game, too. QUIT SHARK BASHING. It’s old news.

i do not think it is fair to have biased announcers calling a nationally televised game. if the announcers are going to be biased then fans should not have their local channels blacked out. Prior to the flyers-bruins game the announcers said to take out Pronger, which is a disgrace of the game to go after star players. Meanwhile during the game, there was no talk of the Flyers, they only talked about the Bruins. If you are going to cover the game with a national telecast then do not be biased towards one team!
