Alzner.jpgThe Capitals get a bad break on the eve of their Game 7 matchup with
the Canadiens tomorrow night, as word comes down that defenseman Tom
Poti will miss the game after being hit in the eye with a puck in Game
6.

The Capitals have recalled Karl Alzner for tomorrow night’s
game, who played in 21 games for the Capitals this season. It’s an
interesting move, as you would think the team would fall back on Tyler
Sloan, who has already appeared in two games this season.

For a team that threw everything but the kitchen sink and the hot tub at Jaroslav Halak last night, losing a defenseman with Poti’s ability is going to make getting past the obviously ‘rattled’ goaltender that much harder.
