Or more than two years in a row of being good.
You know, before last season I had nothing against the Capitals, their players, the fans that they had, or the organization. Now that all the bandwagoners have come out because there’s nothing else good right now in DC, all of a sudden they’re the “best fans in the league”? The same ones that booed the team after going down 4-0 at home in a game this season? Huh. Although to defend the fans, it’s not like any of them have seen the Caps lose before…
Uh huh. How many of them know who Dale Hunter or Peter Bondra are? Some “best fans” they are…
Come on, Caps “fans”. Attack me. I’m waiting. Post this up on Crappers’ Rink or Caps Daddy and send over the cronies.

Next time, I’ll just post the entire article. In fact, the article the quote comes from, written by Dan Steinberg of DC Sports Blog (you know, a Capitals writer) has this headline: “Brooks Laich says Caps fans > Canadiens fans”….so I’m not just making something up here.

Laich here says, both before going to Montreal and after, that he thinks the Verizon crowd and the fans are better, louder and more into the game than the Habs fans. I didn’t make that up.

Where did he say the caps have the “best fans in the NHL?” Or that the Caps fans are better? As I read it, he likes his fans and home ice more, but I think any player will say that (except those who play in empty arenas in the Southeast). It doesn’t mean the Caps fans “trump” the Habs fans. You guys love making something out of nothing.
