Washington Capitals coach Bruce Boudreau named Jose Theodore the team’s starting goalie for the playoffs, according to a Tarik El-Bashir Tweet. This doesn’t come as a huge surprise since Theodore has been the hotter of the two goalies lately (not to mention the fact that Theodore is more experienced).

Still, as I mentioned in this post, it never hurts to be flexible and I’m sure that Boudreau will pull the cord the second he feels the need to do so.

If not, Theo could have a rather emotional games 3 and 4 as he travels to Montreal, the site of some of his highest highs (a Hart trophy season) and lowest lows (the year his game suffered amid family turmoil).
