I am a huge Souray fan now because I never really knew how good he is. He is a veteran Offensive Defenseman who has the heaviest slap shot and can lay out hits on people. Being from Pittsburgh and being a huge Penguins fan, I think we would need Souray's talent and physicality to help us make a run for another cup, Right now, what we have isn't cutting it. Sergei Gonchar. Alex Goligoski and Jordan Leopold, the 3 starting Offensive Defensemen on the Pens, are not playing good defense. Goligoski is young, he will get better, but I seriously think, we can give the Oilers Sergei Gonchar (If we resign him), Jordan Leopold (If we resign him), and a 3rd round pick or lower, we could probably get Souray. We honeslty need him.

I always thought Souray was the smartest of all the Oiler's team. If the team players focused on being hockey players rather than guys who went out and drank and partied the way they do maybe they would win more. Souray is smart in not wanting to associated with that team. I was a great fan at one time (I especially like Souray.) but upon getting to know more about hockey and the teams and knowing about addiction, (alcohol and drug addiction,) this team has all the signs of a lost bunch of men. I believe Souray's talents could be brought out fully in another team, maybe to come back sometime down the road when his now fellow Oilers have finally grown up.
