Let’s face it, when you play for the Sharks, that’s how you play; Win at any cost (no matter who you hurt). Too bad, he never used to play like that.

5 years ago Blake would have tied the man up with his stick and not chances him making a play on the puck, but now that’s hooking so the stick is out of the question so Blake trails the play and hits him a little early about two feet, and yes that is from behind! Blake’s head is a good foot behind Mueler at contact (if it’s from the side Mueller goes toward the corner, Blake extending his arm forward towards the backboards should not do anything if he is next to him, but it drives him into the boards), but that same hit two feet closer to the boards and it’s just pinching the man off; at that speed tough call two feet at speed? but it’s a dangerous hit that resulted in an injury that could change the outcome of a season for a team and should have been boarding. Sorry Blake your still a classy guy, and great player.

Dirty hit – look at the extension of the arm. Suspend him for as long as Mueller is out.

If Campbell’s injury was suspension worthy, this should be as well.
