Apr 4, 2010, 2:37 PM EDT

Join us at Noon EDT for our live chat for today’s game. Joe Yerdon will be leading the chat, and I’ll be chiming in from the press box at Wachovia Center.

It’s a big game for the Flyers today, and one could say the season is on the line.

Okay, the first period is over. There were 3 instances where a penalty was called. One on Detroit. One on Philly. One where there was a penalty on both teams. Emrick did not once tell you who the penalty was on, what the call was, nor was there any replay. Can someone PLEASE tell these 2 guys that there is more to calling a game than asking what Pierre thinks. Tell me what I don’t know or can see!

Why do NBC and Versus put their scoreboards so low on the screen? It’s practically in the field of play! There is this gap between the scoreboard and the top of the screen that is completely useless space. Why don’t they move the scoreboard to the very top of the screen and get it away from the action!
