David, Are you kidding me? I like Ribiero, but you have to show respect and that is one place that it's required. Brad Richards is leading this team in points and is well worth the money we are paying him. I won't disagree about Crawford, but I think in this case what was done is right. As for keeping Turco get real he is not working out here anymore. He needs a change of scenery and this team has needed some change the old was getting stale.
I think we need to dump some of our D and bring in a couple of solid D guys and move on into next season.

According to Mike Heika of the DMN, he was late 10 minutes and didn't miss the whole meeting.

Ribs is so talented. He would be a huge loss to Dallas. The real problem here is Crawford and his idiotic system. When the Stars have to score 4 goals a game to have a chance of winning, because we don't bother to defend and always give up 3 goals, you know the system is flawed. When we have goal-tenders making 40+ saves a game and we still lose, you have to ask why we have an 'offense only' system?
When veteran players are exhausted because of too much 'practice' and are too tired to perform in the game, you know we have a problem. We saw how well Mike Modano performed after getting a day off practice.
Ribiero is no slacker. He is a skilled experienced player. It makes no sense to treat him like he is in boot camp. Crawford is sucking the heart out of this team. Last year the Stars missed the playoffs largely because of injuries. This year Crawford was supposed to do better than Tippett, Brad Richards was supposed to save the day, the new system was going to win games and we have not had major prolonged injuries. So What's Crawford's excuse ?
I miss Dave Tippett and am excited that he is able to get Phoenix to rise from the ashes. Sadly, the trade deadline is over and we can't dump Richards for a few good defensemen. We can make sure we don't continue this insanity another season. Fire Crawford; Beg Tippett to come back; Renew Turco's contract; Trade Richards for some Defensemen; Change the system ; = Get to the playoffs next year.
