Malkin out on Saturday, Gonchar questionable

The Pittsburgh Penguins will be without Evgeni Malkin again tomorrow when they face the Flyers. Malkin has missed four of the past five games as he’s dealt with a foot injury, and he left practice after just 12 minutes on the ice today. He is not expected to play tomorrow according to coach Dan Bylsma (via Shelly Anderson of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette)

Meanwhile, Sergei Gonchar wasn’t on the ice as he deals with an illness and is questionable tomorrow.

It’s a tough break for the Penguins, who have struggled (1-2-1) without Malkin in the lineup. Good thing they have Sidney Crosby there to pick up the slack, right? Oh that’s right, he has just one assist in the four games that Malkin’s missed. Purely coincidental, I’m sure.
