Three Bruins questionable with the flu

As if there wasn’t enough pressure on the Boston Bruins for tonight’s rematch against the Pittsburgh Penguins, now it seems they may be without a good chunk of their roster in a critical game. Blake Wheeler, Dennis Wideman and Johnny Boychuk all missed this morning’s skate with flu-like symptoms, and could be out for tonight’s game. Reports Joe Haggerty of NECN.com:

All three are question marks for tonight against the Penguins, and may just force Andrew Ference into the lineup with a troublesome groin that’s been giving him problems. B’s coach Claude Julien said that Ference was a possibility for tonight’s game after missing the last zz games after blowing out his groin.

The Bruins are coming home from a long road trip and are gearing up for what could be an incredibly emotional game against the Penguins. Now it’s the flu that’s hitting the locker room, just another bit of adversity for the team to fight through. That’s all. No worries, right?
