I agree with Jake that when a palyer is injured in either a dirty play or a cheap shot, that the player inflicting the injury needs to be suspended without pay until the injured palyer is able to return to the team and play again. If for some reason the injury causes the player to have to end his playing career, then something more drastic needs to happen. Also, Colin Campbell needs to retire and be replaced by someone who seems to be more concerned with the health and well-being of the player and not the leaque!

Sorry, but that hit was dirty. It was absolutely an elbow, if you hit someone with your shoulder, you don't have to tuck your elbow back in after. The seconds AFTER the hit show this. He thought he could stick the elbow out there and tuck it back in to avoid a penalty, which is exactly what happened.
The GMs need to deal with this at their meetings. There is already a penalty for inadvertent high sticking, why not hits to the head? Even if he hit him with the shoulder, any hit that targets a player's head should be a penalty.

CC has got to go. His reaction is as bad as a politician who turns his eyes on a major problem because he is covering his own ass and seems more worried about his job. Hockey has become a embarrasment, i still love hockey as a game, but this kind of stuff is really pathetic in 2010, come on, you want more fans NHL? this will do it won't it?
