Cook might get suspended, but as a Penguins fan you should worry more about Crosby and Malkin. The Penguins just took out the Bruins best player, so the Bruins should do the same. They need to call up a goon from Providence to take Crosby or Malkin’s head off. Then we’ll see if Cook is as eager to give out cheap shots in the future.

Completely inexcusable, especially from Cooke. Personally I can’t believe Thornton or Lucic didn’t rearrange his face for him. Sad commentary on the refs, Savard’s teammates and especially Matt Cooke. Should have been a 10 minute with a game misconduct as well as a minimum of a 10 game suspension. He could’ve broken Savard’s neck with that hit.

According to the refs it was just another in a long line of clean flying elbow to jaw hit that the players like to call—”just finishing my check.” It won’t stop until the stretcher is replaced some night by a body bag.
