Well sounds like Holmgren is trying to do something to better the team, in the area of a defenseman, this would be good, but I'm not convinced just yet, I mean look at there goaltending, sure its been great for the past couple of months or so, but are you willing to say, hey thats it? Leighten is a good goalie, but playoffs are totally different, I think teams will eat him up in the playoffs that's if they make it. They definately need a goalie, then everything will fall into place come playoff time. If this means trade for a top 10 goalie in the league and not get the defenseman they need, then I think that's what they should do. I know Holmgren will do his best to better Philly, but without sacrificing at least some top forwards, I can't see that happen. Here are some players that can be moved, Hartnell, Cobourn, (Gagne if the deal is right)
and Briere if the deal is right and if they can waive their no trade clause.
